Teams from six local schools will compete in the Renfrewshire heats of the Worldwise Quiz, organised by SAGT on Thursday 1st March. They are

Barrhead High
Mearns Castle
Gryffe High
Greenock Academy
Gleniffer High
Schools may send as many teams as they wish; each team comprises three pupils, from second, third and fourth year. All schools will be represented by two teams on Thursday. The first, elimination heat of the afternoon is team based, with the best four teams going through to the second and final heat. Questions test general knowledge, eg about geography in the news' capitals; rivers; famous cities; travel; well known features.
